Why was BASS formed?
There is very little offered, in the way of group /ensemble playing, for players who used to play years ago and those learning late in life – anyone too old for youth orchestra yet not the standard required for most adult orchestras.

Who is it for?
Any violin, viola, cello or double bass player who is between 18 and 98 years old.

What is the playing level?
It is aimed for players between grades 3 to 5 although higher and lower grades are also very welcome.

What type of people go?
Very friendly, welcoming people who make you feel at ease.

What if you make a mistake?
Don't worry, everyone does either often or sometimes.

Does BASS play publicly?
They put on a friends and family concert once a year – a fun time!

When do we meet?
The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month except August.

Where do we meet?
All Saints Church Hall, Kempston, Bedford

Is there a subscription?
A small cost of £10.00 each month to cover hall hire etc.
